We all know people who can literally "eat like horses" without putting on a single ounce of weight, while others "watch their portions" and never get anywhere near slim. Here's what to do in order to boost your metabolism naturally:
- Get up! Never sit more than one hour in one go, as this can lower your metabolism. Make a short set of dips, push-ups or burpees every hour, or at least take a short walk of five to ten minutes
- Green tea is known to get your metabolism buzzing, but don't overdo it. Too much caffeine puts a strain on your body.
- Aim for short aerobic exercises like Tabata
- Do strengh training - the more lean muscle mass you have, the more calories you use - even when you are resting
- Add cayenne pepper to your foods - this spiece is know to make you burn more calories, but stay moderate here - you don't want to irritate your stomach!
- Try meditation or progressive muscle relaxation, as too much stress can cause weight gain
